Well, the City of Delta has done it again. They are one of the poorest cities in one of the poorest counties in the state of Colorado and yet they are very unfriendly to business. I have lost sales of property in the City of Delta due to their archaic business plan. They appear to be unable or unwilling to work with people when it comes to zoning issues and business. They have virtually run out two businesses that would have helped the job market and the tax revenue. It appears that they do not want new business, just business as usual. Thanks for nothing, Delta.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
