Delta High School's volleyball team recently completed a trip to the Class 3A State Volleyball Championships in Denver. A successful season earned the Panthers plenty of post-season traveling opportunities the past few weeks.

Delta ninth-grader Sami Cassel is into hockey. With no place to play organized hockey locally, Cassell must travel to Grand Junction to skate.

Cassel has been playing for some time and is a member of the Grand Junction Bantam B boys team.

Eighth graders learn about solar energy

Solar Energy International's Solar In the Schools (SIS) outreach program recently hosted its third Solar Lab Days for 8th grade students from Delta Middle, Cedaredge Middle, Hotchkiss K-8 and Paonia Jr./Sr. High schools. In the span of four days, 344 students came to SEI's lab facility in Paonia to participate in introductory solar energy activities and presentations.

Thieves break in, steal ATM from grocery store

A brazen break-in and robbery took place at the Cedaredge Food Town store early Saturday morning, Nov. 26.

As a result, Cedaredge police are now investigating the break-in, robbery, a vehicle theft and also an arson that concluded the crime spree.
