Baby-Friendly USA, announces that Delta County Memorial Hospital has received prestigious international recognition as a Baby-Friendly Designated birth facility.

Houghton and associate arrested after pursuit in Utah

Fred Houghton IV, 29, of Cedaredge successfully eluded law enforcement officers in Delta County for days. His luck ran out in Utah on Wednesday, Aug. 30, but not before another foot pursuit and additional school lockdowns.

Ames second in CC run

Delta's cross country teams competed in two races this past week. One was the Devil's Thumb Hill Climb in Delta on Friday and the other competition was in Edwards at the Battle Mountain Invitational on Saturday.

Bulldog gridders play well

The Hotchkiss football team got a glimpse of what they're capable of Friday night in its non-conference 42-6 win over Dolores. Head coach Curtis Hintz said that for a season-opener, he liked what he saw. "They played fast and they played physical, which you always like to see," said Curtis.
