Beverly Brown of West Plains, Mo., died July 7, 2017, from cancer. She was 72.
She was born Nov. 15, 1943, to Bedford and Opal Edson of Delta. She attended school in Delta and graduated from Delta High School in 1962.
Mrs. Brown lived most of her life in the Denver area, but moved to Missouri after the loss of her husband, Darrell Brown, in 2004.
She is survived by her sister, Sharon Appelgren of Pahrump, Nev.; one half-brother, Ron Edson of Delta; two nephews, Michael Scheetz of Provo, Utah, and Rod Scheetz of Lake Shore, Utah; and two nieces, Sandy Conner of Delta and Janet Purgason of Caulfield, Mo.
A celebration of life gathering is planned for the weekend of July 15 in the Provo, Utah, area.
Thanks to the efforts of state Rep. Millie Hamner, House District 61, Colorado State University plans to re-open the Rogers Mesa research site.
The facility was taken out of operation in 2011, due to budget cuts throughout the CSU system.
