Brenda L. Lincoln of Delta died June 1, 2018, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 65.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Mountain View Bible Church in Lazear; Pastor Jim Jesser will officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the church service.
Brenda L. Griffith was born July 31, 1952, to Robert and Beulah (Culp) Griffith in Augsburg, Germany, where her father was stationed while serving in the military. She lived many places before moving to Fort Carson Army Base. She graduated from Fountain Fort Carson High School.
On May 30, 1973, she married Gene Lincoln in Colorado Springs.
They lived on the Front Range for 25 years before moving to Oregon for five years. They moved to Delta from Oregon in 2001.
Mrs. Lincoln was a member of the Mountain View Bible Church in Lazear. She was a devoted Christian and enjoyed her career as an elementary school librarian. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gene; three children, Robert (Liena) Lincoln of Denver, Michael Lincoln of Berthoud and Carrie (Steve) Pitt of Delta; brother, John Griffith of Colorado Springs; five grandchildren, Steven, Olivia, Thomas, Adam and Cora; and extended family,
She was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Kregar.

Delta Volunteer Fire Department (DVFD) will be holding its annual fireworks show at Confluence Park on Wednesday, July 4, having received approval from Delta City Council at the council's June 5 meeting.
The DVFD has 28 volunteers and expects to have eight to 10 firefighters from Cedaredge join them this year.
