As summer enters its final month, the Cedaredge Area Chamber of Commerce has compiled a list of events stretching from the August Serenity Run, through October's gigantic AppleFest celebration, and all the way to the town's Parade of Lights in December.
Beginning this Friday and Saturday -- on Aug. 3-4 -- the 33rd annual International Serenity Run (ISR) comes to town. Welcome a host of motorcyclists as they travel through Cedaredge. On both days, the local VFW post will serve breakfast in Pioneer Town's Stolte Shed for visitors and locals alike from 7-10 a.m. Then, on Saturday only, the town park will feature Celebrate Cedaredge booths from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a Party in the Park community potluck from 4-8 p.m.
As autumn approaches, Cedaredge residents can look forward to a busy schedule. Here's a preview:
Sept. 8: Symphony in the Park -- enjoy the music in town park from 5-7 p.m.
Sept. 14: Colorado Grand -- a distinctive show of sports and race cars on Main Street from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Sept. 30: Color Sunday -- spend the day driving the Hwy 65 scenic byway to see amazing fall colors.
Oct. 4-7: AppleFest time! A detailed schedule will be available soon but events will include the Cedaredge Volunteer Fire Department's traditional chili cook-off, a rodeo, and acres of AppleFest artisan booths and food vendors.
Nov. 24: Small Business Saturday -- shop for all-day bargains at local small businesses.
Dec. 1: Parade of Lights -- think snow and join the annual holiday celebration on Main Street.
