The Celebrate Cedaredge event slated for June 2 has been cancelled, said event organizers from the Town of Cedaredge and the Cedaredge Area Chamber of Commerce. "There were several other events that would compete with this event, and in an effort to make the event beneficial for not only our local businesses and for our vendors but for the community as a whole, we decided to focus our efforts instead on our two upcoming Celebrate Cedaredge events," said Kami Collins, the economic development coordinator for the Town of Cedaredge.
The two entities welcome the community to enjoy the July 14 Celebrate Cedaredge community fair at Town Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Civic groups and nonprofits are welcome to set up a booth at no charge; for-profit business vendors, artists, crafters and others are welcome to set up booths as well. The vendor application is available online at cedaredgecolorado.com or by calling Collins at 856-3123, extension 112. In addition to the community fair at Town Park, the town and the chamber are also organizing a community yard sale/flea market at the town's public works parking lot on High Country Avenue, across from Cedaredge FoodTown. Spaces for that event are just $10; applications are also available online or by calling Collins.
"We apologize for any inconvenience the cancellation has caused, but we do hope vendors and the community can join us for our July 14 event," Collins said. The two entities are also planning to host a Celebrate Cedaredge event on Aug. 4 at Town Park to coincide with the annual Serenity Run.
