Cheryl L. Stevens of Delta died April 7, 2017, at her home. She was 54.
No formal services will be held.
She was born Sept. 3, 1962, in Roseville, Calif.
Ms. Stevens served her country in the U.S. Navy from 1979 to 1983.
She was an avid rock hunter and polisher. She enjoyed making jewelry and crosses; she was crafty with beads, rocks, wire and other mediums. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family.
She is survived by her mother, Gerry Stevens of Delta; her father, Harvey Taylor of Elko, Nev.; sons, Chris Stevens of Delta and Matthew Stevens of Idaho; sister, Yvonne McCain; grandson, Davion Stevens of Delta; and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Adair; and other extended family from Cuba, Mo.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
