Community Conversations, a new Cedaredge group, meets monthly at Cedaredge United Methodist Church. On Monday, May 14, at 7 p.m., the topic will be, "What brings us to Cedaredge?" The group's co-conveners are Mari-Emilie Sweigart and Walt Anderson. Mari-Emilie says, "We are building a small group meeting monthly to promote the sharing of ideas about topics of interest in our community in a non-hostile environment. Bring a friend who may have a different view from your own."
Some of the questions for consideration on May 14 will be: What specifically brought us to live in the Cedaredge area? Has the community lived up to or exceeded our expectations? Do we see any problems in our community? What improvements would we like to see?
Sweigart and Anderson want Community Conversations to be a place where all of us can honestly and openly "express ourselves." Cedaredge United Methodist Church is located at 210 NW 3rd Street in Cedaredge. Just come. To let us know you are coming or if you have questions send an email to Mari-Emilie, firstname.lastname@example.org, or to Walt, email@example.com. You may also contact Pamela Gubkin, CUMC's coordinator of ministries, at 856-3696.
