Delta County Memorial Hospital recently received a report from a patient about a phone call from 970-874-2296, showing in caller ID that it was from Delta County Memorial Hospital. This number is a fax number for the hospital and cannot be used for voice calls. This patient was then told they had a refund coming and if he/she would provide their credit card information the caller would refund it to the card. This patient refused and reported the issue. The hospital investigated this phone scam and has reported the incident to Delta Police Department.

Delta County Memorial Hospital would never call a patient and request credit card information. If a patient has a refund coming to them, DCMH will mail a check.

If anyone receives a phone call from 970-874-2296 requesting credit card information, they should refuse, hang up and call the Delta Police Department at 874-7676.
