Delta senior Kendra Hillman was the top 50 yard freestyle swimmer last weekend on the campus of CMU in the multi teams and Southwester Conference League Championships.
Teams competing in the competition included Fruita Monument (361), Glenwood Springs (359), Grand Junction (291), Gunnison (255), Durango (246), Aspen (246), Summit (245), Montrose (156), Delta (75), Moffat County (58) and Montezuma-Cortez.
Hillman was seventh after preliminary rounds in the 50 yard freestyle with a 26.87.
Her winning time for the race was 26.02. Montrose's Madeline Chandler qualified second and finished second in the finals (26.33).
The Panthers placed in the 200 yard medley relay, 200 yard freestyle relay, 100 yard backstroke and the 100 yard breaststroke.
Delta swimmers headed to Thornton (VMAC) this week (Feb. 8-10) include Kendrick in both the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard breaststroke.
The Panthers' 200 yard freestyle will also make the trip this weekend.
Members of the relay team include Kaitlyn Neeley, Hillman, Jordan Tamayo, Olivia McCracken, Sami Wollert and Lene Meneley.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
