At the Oct. 12 meeting of the local ESA sorority, members voted to disperse some of the chapter's fundraising dollars to the local community. The following will be receiving $100 each: Cedaredge Public Library, Cedaredge Animal Shelter, Surface Creek Food Bank, Cedaredge Middle School lunch program, Delta County Ambulance District, Cedaredge Police Department and HopeWest. An additional $300 was also given to the ESA Disaster Fund, and $200 to the new Delta soup kitchen project.

The group was also treated to a presentation by Leighann Hunt on her recent trip to Australia. The members are planning a fall fundraising activity soon, and will be meeting again in November to make plans for their annual Christmas party. Interested in joining this fun, active group? Call president Carol Vela, 970-835-3388, for more information.
