Josie and Chase Hiatt have signed letters of intent to play softball and baseball at Colorado Northwestern Community College this fall. The college-bound athletes are the daughter and son of Ty and Dana Hiatt of Hotchkiss.
The two siblings have been playing baseball together for the past decade.
This past season, while playing baseball at Hotchkiss High School, Chase was named to the First Team All Conference in the Western Slope League. Josie was named WSL Honorable Mention, thus becoming the first girl in the state of Colorado to receive that award for boys baseball.
Chase plans to major in sports medicine and Josie received a full-ride scholarship to play softball at CNCC with plans to major in nursing.
