Thomas Laquey, 59, of Cedaredge was charged with driving his vehicle on the wrong side of a divided highway after he collided with a car driven by Terry Bonine, 47, of Paonia on Dec. 31 shortly before 11 a.m. The Colorado State Patrol reports that Laquey was traveling east in the westbound lane of Highway 92 near the intersection of 1800 Road.
Bonine, driving westbound, attempted to swerve to the right, and he struck the left front corner of her vehicle. The injuries of both drivers were described as "incapacitating." It's not known why Laquey was driving in the wrong lane; drugs and alcohol are not considered factors.blog comments powered by Disqus
