The 594th meeting of Emblem Club was opened according to ritual by president Donna Cochran on June 3.
Roll call found nine officers absent. Reports of the financial secretary and treasurer were given and accepted pending audit.
Correspondences in-cluded a thank you from Special Olympics for our donation and a letter from the Elks National Foundation making Emblem Club an Honorary Founder for donating $1,000 or more.
We still have three members not paid for 2013-2014. They are Eleanore Forester, JoAnn Mathews and Rose Miller. If you see them, remind them we need all our members.
Three birthdays were celebrated in June. Gladys Carpenter won the Dime March.
Past president Karen Martin came to the podium to present president Donna Cochran with the president pin.
Club voted to send $150 to the State President Project, battered women and children.
Sympathy card was sent to Maxine Burch for loss of grandson Ron Burch in Calhan, CO.
Plans were discussed regarding the state quarterly we will be hosting in August. It was tabled. We are to plan on staying after July meeting to finalize everything.
President Donna asked Donna Williams to have Good of Order for July and Ruth Carson for August.
Being no further business, meeting was closed at 8:06.
