New Pride of the Valley
The June 30 4-H meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. Roll call was one goal that the members have for fair this year.
Club treasurer Cassidy Parker reported the club has $236.90 in our bank account as of June 3.
Angie gave a leader's report about the beef meeting being canceled on July 2. The new date is on July 14. We will be clipping hair and hooves. Also, a record book meeting will be held afterward. Also, times for the premier speech on August 3 will be scheduled and hopefully will be within the same time frame in case any member has more than one speech to do.
Our 4-H club will be doing our street walk on Wednesday, July 24, at 9 a.m. We will meet in the Sisson's Feed and Seed parking lot in Delta. For anyone who doesn't know what the street walk is, it's where the 4-H club gets together and dresses its best. We then go and invite local businesses to come to the fair.
Paul and Jennifer Abila offered that, for anyone in the club with swine, they would be happy to help with anything that the members need; unfortunately, this will be their last year as swine leaders.
Kent gave a report that record books are due on July 27. Also, our club needs to decide when a good day would be to have our club wall decorating party. There will be no 4-H concession stand this year either. Holly gave a report to her Clover Buds also. There needs to be a date set for all of them to get together and decorate their wall. If anyone from New Pride of the Valley 4-H club has pictures of their projects, please get them to Haylin McCulloch or Tanis McCulloch. Camping for fair is still the same as it has been in past years.
