The Families Plus board of directors, under the leadership of president Dawn Reeder, is launching a campaign to find 100 individuals who care about children, to participate in the 100 Club. The 100 Club is a group of 100 individuals who commit to give at least $100 per year to support children growing up in challenging circumstances throughout Delta County.
The commitment amounts to as little as $8.33 per month. The campaign is represented by a photo of board member Lisa Joss sporting a milk mustache along with a young friend of hers saying "Got satisfaction? Give a child a hand up!"
The Families Plus program is a wraparound program that provides generous support to children and families throughout the area who face different types of challenges in their circumstances. Children are assisted with good health care access, academic success, skill building activities and time with mentoring families. The program relies on many volunteers to invest in children and others willing to donate equipment and other needed items. The Families Plus program represent the spirit of Delta County in caring about children and providing them whatever is necessary to be healthy and successful.
