Howard Wayne Giese died Nov. 14, 2012, at his home in Olathe. He was 50.
There will be a gathering at Olathe Fire Hall on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Howard Wayne Giese was born to Howard E. and Sarah (Christensen) Giese on July 12, 1962, in Aurora. He spent his childhood in Montrose.
He lived in Utah and Nevada and traveled extensively before moving back to Olathe eight years ago.
Mr. Giese was a heavy equipment mechanic. He enjoyed roping, riding horses and spending time in the mountain with his cattle.
He is survived by two sons; his sister, Lorie Weber of Clifton; and his father, Howard E. Giese of Marana, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Giese.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bank of the West in Montrose.
Arrangements are being handled by Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
