Jack McCaslin

a08 mccaslinFormer Cedaredge resident Jack L. McCaslin died Nov. 30, 2012, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Grand Junction. He was 75.

A graveside memorial service was held Dec. 4 at the Cedaredge Cemetery.

Jack L. McCaslin was born to Glen and Julia (Shinn) McCaslin Nov. 29, 1937, in Wheatland, Mo. He spent his childhood and attended school in Cedaredge, graduating from Cedaredge Hgih School in 1956.

He served with the United States Army.

On Nov. 19, 1961 he married Eva Carter in Cedaredge. The couple lived in Cedaredge until moving to Grand Junction in 1965.

Mr. McCaslin was a retired drilling supervisor. He enjoyed flying, fishing, traveling and riding his four-wheeler. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Grand Junction and a 20-year member of the Civil Air Patrol.

He is survived by his son, Loren McCaslin and spouse Karen of Floyd, N.M.; his daughter, Glynis McCaslin-Keefer and spouse Gene of Grand Junction; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva McCaslin; and one brother, Bob McCaslin.
