Dorothy Grasmick died May 7, 2013, at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta. She was 88.
Dorothy Manweiler was born in Sugar City Dec. 29, 1924, to Carl and Katie Manweiler. She spent most of her early years and attended school in Sugar City.
On Feb. 4, 1944, she married Herbert Grasmick.
She lived her later years in Hereford, Texas. She worked at the school lunch room and was a member of the Hereford Senior Center and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hereford. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Mrs. Grasmick is survived by a son, Gary Grasmick and wife Phyllis of Delta; a sister, Eleanor Neifert of Sugar City; a brother, Robert Manweiler and wife Charlene of La Junta; sisters-in-law, Joyce Manweiler of La Junta, Faye Manweiler of La Junta and Audrey Manweiler of Ordway; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb; brothers, Albert, Elmer, Harold and Henry; daughter, Carole; and son-in-law, Jerry Collice.
A service was held May 13 at Eaton Family Funeral Home Chapel in Ordway. Interment and a graveside service were held May 14 at West Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas.
