Delta resident Quentin Frownfelter Frantz died June 28, 2013, at his home in Delta. He was 16.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 6, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta with James Gall presiding. Services will conclude at the mortuary.
Mr. Frantz was born in Flint, Mich., March 21, 1997, to Elizabeth Frownfelter and Kenneth Frantz. He spent his childhood and attended schools in Michigan. He moved with his family to Delta in 2007.
He was active in sports, playing in the Ottisville Little League and the Columbiaville soccer teams, both in Michigan.
He was a 2013-14 Delta-Montrose Technical College scholarship recipient for the Launch program and was an active member of the Boy Scout Troop 482 in Cedaredge. He enjoyed taking taekwondo, playing chess, working with computers, spending time outdoors, camping and hanging out with his brothers. He was a creative thinker and jokester and enjoyed making his family laugh.
Mr. Frantz is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Frownfelter of Delta; his father, Kenneth Frantz of Davidson, Mich.; his stepfather, Joe Kastle of Dayton, Ohio; his maternal grandmother, Chris McVaugh of Delta; his paternal grandfather, Jerry Frantz of Cañon City; four brothers, Logan Frownfelter Frantz of Davidson, Mich., Gavin Frownfelter Frantz (Paisley Lamb) of Cedaredge, Dylan Frownfelter Frantz of North Branch, Mich., and Tyson Frownfelter Frantz of Delta; one niece, Adalynn Frantz of Cedaredge; two uncles, Grant Frownfelter and Robert Frownfelter, both of Holly, Mich.; one aunt, Jennell Matthews of Holly, Mich.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. Merrill Frownfelter; his grandmothers, Mildred Frantz and Florence Latimer; and his stepgrandfather, Frank Raby.
