Cedaredge resident Billy D. Kissner died Oct. 12, 2013, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. He was 49.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18, at New Hope Evangelical Free Church, 17464 Surface Creek Road, Cedaredge.
Mr. Kissner was born in Delta June 27, 1964, to Bill and Martha Kissner. He spent his childhood and attended public school in Cedaredge, graduating from Cedaredge High School in 1982.
On Jan. 14, 1984, he married Raelynn Sluski in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mr. Kissner owned and operated a drilling company. He enjoyed his grandchildren, the outdoors, animals, horses, cattle, rodeoing and coaching children of all ages in several sports.
He is survived by his son, Kurt (Julie) Kissner of Grand Junction; his daughter, Danielle (Travis) Toombs of Montrose; his parents, Bill and Martha Kissner of Cedaredge; three sisters, Luann (Dennis) Harriman of Gulfport, Miss., Judi (Robbie) Schmalz of Delta and Celia (Jeff) Avaritte of Austin; and two grandchildren, Trinity Toombs and Gracelynn Kissner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Raelynn Kissner; and one sister, Karmen Lyons.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Philips Catholic Church in Cedaredge.
