On March 7, Taco Time held its first co-op meeting of 2013. The meeting included recognition of franchisees, managers and crew members who have demonstrated a true commitment to daily operational excellence, store cleanliness, customer service, community involvement and overall loyalty to the Taco Time brand.
There are approximately 200 Taco Times throughout the United States competing for these awards.
The Delta Taco Time was one of 81 stores receiving the Golden Cactus Award of Excellence. To receive this award, the store must attain an average of at least 93 percent on its QSCE scores for the year. The Delta store averaged 95.2 percent.
The award for Manager and Crew Member of the year is given regionally. The Utah, Wyoming and Colorado region has 55 stores. Joyce Urich of Delta was named Manager of the Year for the second consecutive year. Urich has managed the Delta Taco Time since August 2005.
"Back then I still worked the front counter for lunch every day," Proctor said. "I still remember the day this young girl from Iowa came in looking for a job. Someone covered me on the front cash register while I sat down on the stools by the front door, talking to Joyce about a job. I hired her on the spot. Who would have thought that 23 years later we would still be working together? It has proven to be one of the best decisions I ever made."
Proctor said Urich takes a lot of pride in making sure each and every customer gets nothing but the best product and the best service.
Kyle Urich, who has worked at Taco Time since 2011, was named Crew Member of the Year.
"Since day one, Kyle has jumped in and done an excellent job," Proctor said. "No matter what it is — doing the prep, making the orders, cleaning or washing dishes — I can always count on Kyle to get the job done as quickly as possible and move on to the next job. Kyle has proven to be an excellent employee."
In February, Taco Time marked its 33rd year at the corner of 7th and Main. "I am very proud to have been part of this community for the last 33 years," Proctor said.blog comments powered by Disqus
