Have you noticed the new design and colors on the North Fork Ambulance fleet? The colors of blue and green and the new design were the creation of Kris Stewart, the association's graphic designer and IT coordinator.
"We had a change a year ago when we created a working board," Kathy Steckel, director, said. "Our board members are now in charge of various facets of the association. We went to a rebranding workshop in Grand Junction that really opened our eyes to our graphics and our need to have a new look. We just felt it was time for a change," Steckel said.
They are hoping the new design will be attractive to new people coming to the area.
The tag line for this Emergency Medical Services group is "Neighbors helping neighbors." Founded in 1969, it is the only ambulance service in the North Fork Valley. The nonprofit is sustained through individual and business memberships and operates with trained EMTs and drivers.
All but one of the current ambulances have been redone with the new design. The last ambulance will need to be retired next year.
The new logo has a custom shield over the Star of Life, with each component of the shield representing some aspect of the association.
The logo components include a shield; a serpent and staff; three stars representing Hotchkiss, Crawford and Paonia; the acronym, EMS; a QRS heart wave; a heart with an electricity bolt; and the year, 1969.blog comments powered by Disqus
