Their official name is the BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado. But they are known around here as "The Beemers."
Paonia and the rest of the North Fork Valley will welcome the Beemers as they start arriving on Wednesday, July 25, and then leave sometime on Sunday. In between, they will camp out at Paonia Town Park, listen to live music, take sightseeing trips along our West Elk Scenic Byway, tour some local wineries and have a fabulous break from the routine.
The Beemers have been coming to Paonia Town Park for their Top O' The Rockies Rally for 23 years.
Vendors with motorcycle gear and apparel, educational seminars and field events to showcase the rider's skill will all happen at the park.
This year KVNF will operate the Radio Roadhouse serving up local beer and wine.
The public is invited to come admire the motorcycles, enjoy the music and refreshments and pick up a commemorative T-shirt.
The BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado formed in 1973. The Top O' The Rockies Rally has been happening for 40 years with more than half taking place annually in Paonia. Welcome back Beemers!blog comments powered by Disqus
