The North Fork Valley Creative Coalition (NFVCC), in partnership with the Paonia, Hotchkiss, and Crawford chambers of commerce, has been awarded a $10,000 marketing grant through the Colorado Tourism Office (CTO).
The grant application was submitted as a regional/partnership collaboration on behalf of the North Fork Valley Creative District, Delta County Tourism Cabinet, the chambers of commerce from the towns of Paonia, Hotchkiss and Crawford, the members of the West Elk AVA, the Valley Organic Growers Association, the Blue Sage Center for the Arts, The Creamery Arts Center and the individuals and small businesses that provide lodging, entertainment, food and wine and other support functions.
The CTO states, "We are pleased to make this investment in [the North Fork Valley] and to drive economic growth throughout Colorado."
The NFVCC's goal is to promote the North Fork Valley on a statewide level in order to increase visitorship to the valley, while emphasizing the abundance of artisan and value-added agriculture products, wineries and outdoor recreation.
Colorado's North Fork Valley is a rising star for tourism, yet still somewhat unknown in comparison to the ski resorts, adventure destinations and urban lifestyle. The valley has the potential to be a premier destination for a slower-paced, rural, small-town experience with the rewards of open space, fresh air, farm-to-table culinary surprises, world-class hiking, biking, climbing, fishing and hunting, and creative artists unlike anywhere else. But the world needs to know the North Fork Valley is here.blog comments powered by Disqus
