Summer concert series hits a high note

This was the kickoff of what looks to be an exciting Summer Concert Series.

Apple Valley courts get new surface

b01 courtsPhoto by Tamie Meck A laser screed is used to level the final pour of concrete at Apple Valley Tennis Courts Monday, while a worker operates a surface finishing trowel to smooth out the surface. The state-of-the-art courts are expected to open in mid-July, and have a life expectancy of about 50 years.Local tennis players will have to wait a few more weeks to play at Apple Valley Park. The three doubles and one singles courts, which are leased by the North Fork Pool, Park and Recreation District, are being replaced with all-new state-of-the-art courts.
