My name is Curtis and I own the new cellular store in Hotchkiss.
A couple of weeks ago I was riding my motorcycle to church.
On the way to Saddle Mountain Fellowship, I ran out of gas. After pushing the bike for a couple of miles down the highway (sweaty and dirty), Mayor Wendell Koontz pulled up in his truck and offered to help. He and his wife were on their way to their own church and took the time to help me get off the road!
He tied a tow-rope to his bumper and I held on as he and his wife towed me all the way to church! My buddy Josh Anderson met me at church with a gallon of gas.
It's great to have a mayor who's willing to help like he does and it's cool to have friends you can count on!
Tell Mayor Koontz that you appreciate his hard work and willingness to help if you see him around town!
