Our federal government: Too many politicians, too many employees doing too little, paid too much with too many benefits making too sound decisions, wasting too much time and too much of our money!
Now, let us take a peek at Colorado.
Our politicians make too few good decisions and have ruined the economy in western Colorado due to their indecisiveness and bad rulings. Mining is our bread and butter. Natural gas, oil, coal, uranium, etc., create thousands of jobs which affect all of us. Yes, the energy companies must follow the proper safety measures and be held accountable for their activities. But to shut them out because a small group of voters is against mining (and the awful, rich profit makers) is absurd! This "group" gives no consideration to the benefits of mining — the jobs they create, the taxes they pay, stimulating the economy, helping our stores, restaurants, motels, the construction industry and improvement of our schools.
My son and I have an industrial park in Delta having 174,000 square feet of buildings that were 90% rented seven years ago. Now we are 75% vacant. We have had two opportunities to rectify the problem. Two years ago we were approached to rent 44,800 square feet to a marijuana producing company. A month ago we were again approached by a marijuana company. We turned them down. We don't think that the Delta people would appreciate our stooping so low.
Who is to blame for our problems? We are for voting in the wrong people and not putting up a fight for what is best for western Colorado.
