The thought of our county commissioners spending $10,000 to represent one family's property is beyond reason. The $10,000 will be spent to fight against my personal property rights, health and concerns.
The county will spend tax dollars on this issue that will continue to be fought in the courts. The next time they are overruled will they spend $100,000 on protecting one family? In most of the farming states, corporate farming buildings have to be bonded. Too many times after a company files bankruptcy, the taxpayers have to pay for clean-up of the site. Also, corporate farming buildings are always placed on a farm-to-market road, not a winding dirt road twisting up a mesa.
Please listen to the Delta County residents who want our property rights protected.
