Dear Editor:
The elected officials of both Delta and Crawford have spoken, at least for 56 percent of the population. They want no part of Amendment 64.
Dear Editor:
Once again we find ourselves having to protect our North Fork Valley from the gas and oil industry and the BLM as the latter renews efforts to lease thousands of acres for exploration and potential drilling right here where we live. Once more, as taxpayers and property owners, we find ourselves having to spend dozens, if not hundreds of hours, protecting ourselves from our own government.
Dear Editor:
Even though I was born at the Hotchkiss Hospital and grew up in Paonia, I have since lived in East Texas and have worked on projects in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Dear Editor:
I offer my congratulations and thanks to all involved in bringing about the seventh/eighth grade basketball tournament which was held at Paonia Junior/Senior High School. It was such a pleasure to watch all the players as they demonstrated the skills they are developing.
Dear Editor:

Dear Editor:

Dear Editor:

Dear Editor:
This letter addresses two controversies within Delta County. The first one is the ongoing disagreement concerning the Bear Ranch Land Exchange.
Dear Editor:
Here's a deal: Lease an acre of land in the North Fork Valley for 10 years for $19.50. Yes, that's right, $2 down and $1.50-$2 a year for 10 years.
