Dear Editor:
I appreciated Mr. Renfrow's letter last week stating that "the most important work ahead is to settle the competition between City of Delta and DMEA." This position contradicts Ed Marston who authored new bylaw language and argued that Glen Black should be reinstated because the conflict of interest was minor in nature.
Dear Editor:
First, thank you to Pat Sunderland for writing a most informative article about Delta County Sheriff Fred McKee's stand on the Second Amendment (DCI, Feb. 27). It was done without prejudice or agenda, which is unlike much of the other printed news media.
Dear Editor:
In this county we are very fortunate to have a sheriff with the leadership of Fred McKee.
All of the Colorado county sheriffs, led by Sheriff McKee, have stood firmly for the Second Amendment of the Constitution.
Dear Editor:
The letters/opinion page of the DCI is always a must read for me, both as a barometer of community thought and a source of amusement. The Feb. 27 page was remarkable for both.
Dear Editor:
To all the past and present staff at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center, we would like to recognize all the hard work and excellent customer service you all have provided to us and the community for the past 20 years. It's time to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and A BIG THANK YOU for all your efforts and friendship over these years.
Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Hotchkiss Booster Club, Hotchkiss High School and all the volunteers who helped with laying the new sod at the middle school baseball field. New infield dirt was also added and the games can now be played on a more safe field.
Dear Editor:
What is going on here in Cedaredge? Yet another loss of fine physicians and medical staff.
Dear Editor:
This will be my first letter to you or any paper.
There are so many people who have nothing to do but cause a lot of controversy.
Dear Editor:
My daughter just e-mailed me the link to an excellent article written by Woody Paige at the Denver Post: "Piphers are Colorado's first family in wrestling."
Woody will have to be excused for missing some of the key historical elements of the story, since he had probably just been born by 1959, the year the prestigious Paonia High School class of 1959 graduated.
Dear Editor:
March 10-16 is Sunshine Week, an annual nationwide effort to call attention to transparency in government and freedom of information. It is a reminder to us about how important it is to make our voices heard all year long, not just on Election Day.
