Tickets are on sale now at the Cedaredge Area Chamber of Commerce for one of Cedaredge's fun social events of the year – the annual Golden Gala.
This year's Golden Gala, "A Taste of the Valley," will mark the event's 21st year on Saturday, Oct. 4, as it provides a celebratory kickoff event for one of the first two big draws of AppleFest Weekend.
(The other pre-Fest big draw is the fire department's Five Alarm Chili Cookoff.)
The Golden Gala fun begins at 7 p.m., and 11 p.m. is when everyone begins to head back home after a fun night of socializing, good food, and dancing.
According to the chamber, which sponsors the Golden Gala, a local restaurant, Creekside, has submitted a "very good" bid to the chamber for the evening's food, which is provided to event guests in their ticket price. And Drost's Chocolates of Eckert has offered to donate 150 pieces of its handmade craft chocolate for the event, the Chamber announced. (One to a customer, please.)
In addition, the $40 ticket price includes wine or beer, hors d'oeuvres, a commemorative glass, dancing, a silent auction and music by Rick Blake and Karen. Silent auction bidding ends at 9 p.m.
Some tickets are also available from chamber board members.blog comments powered by Disqus
