The Bulldogs held off a seventh-inning rally to defeat Roaring Fork, 1-4, in a non-conference game played on March 19.
The Rams, who were missing some of their starters and playing a young team, opened with a one-run lead on a solo homer by senior first baseman Johnny Nieslanik.
Bulldog Brayden Wilson scored on a sacrifice fly by Scott Henry in the bottom of the second to tie the game at 1-1.
Cole Carville scored a run in the second, and Hotchkiss padded the lead with runs by center fielder Kaleb Bayles and pitcher Cesar Gonzales in the sixth.
On the mound, Gonzales had one error in seven innings. He held the Rams to two hits, had one walk and threw 12 Ks, including one against Nieslanik in the top of the seventh, for the win.
