The visit in Gunnison for prep baseball wasn't exactly easy, but the final outcome of the double-header play went in favor of Cedaredge in both instances. The Bruins won game one 13-8 and then had to hold on tight to win the second contest 10-9.
With regular-season play winding down, Basalt (11-0 and 12-1) all but has the team title wrapped up.
Second-place Cedar-edge (10-4 and 11-5) will have to rely on someone else to deal losses to the Longhorns. The Bruins will have their hands full with Aspen (4-9 and 4-9) this coming Saturday in double-header action at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
