Former Hotchkiss resident Irma Crick died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Larchwood Inn in Grand Junction. She was 94.
Visitation and viewing will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Hotchkiss. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Hotchkiss with Pastor Bobby Crick officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Irma Jane Angle was born June 29, 1923, in Ellsinore, Mo., to Herbert and Bertha (Foster) Angle. She spent her childhood and attended school in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
On Aug. 4, 1943, she married Robert Crick in Poplar Bluff. He was in the U.S. Army Air Corps so they lived in many places around the country before settling in Hotchkiss. In 1987, they moved to Grand Junction.
Mrs. Crick enjoyed crocheting, fishing, playing cards and games. She was a member of Bookcliff Baptist Church in Grand Junction.
She is survived by her six children; sons, Rusty (Agnes) Crick of Fruita, Wayne (Margie) Crick of Delta, Alan Crick and Steve (Lana) Crick, both of Springerville, Ariz., and Dave (Julie) Crick of Warrensburg, Mo.; daughter, Carol Ashmore of Portales, N.M.; 26 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and seven siblings.

Two fatal accidents occurred in Delta County within a two-day span last week.
Casey Gillenwater, 25, of Delta was killed the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 13, in a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 133 outside of Hotchkiss.
