The City of Delta is matching its $50,000 commitment to Delta County Economic Development in 2018, but refused a request from DCED to increase funding to $70,000.

DCED made the request to support salary and benefits for its new executive director.

Delta County Economic Development, Inc. (DCED) has selected Stacy Voigt as its new executive director filling the position created by the departure of Trish Thibodo. DCED is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit membership organization working in a public/private partnership to strengthen and diversify the economy of Delta County.

City asked to double DCED investment

Delta County Economic Development is asking the City of Delta to double its investment in economic development in 2018, with the funds going primarily to create an attractive salary/benefits package for the new executive director.

The city budgeted a total of $35,000 for DCED in 2017, although $15,000 has not yet been allocated.

Changes at DCED

Big changes are in the works at Delta County Economic Development. The nonprofit has moved to a new home in Suite 107 of the Delta Professional Building at 540 Main Street, Delta. DCED will be located there until the ENGAGE Innovation Center is renovated and open for business.

This week, Delta County Economic Development (DCED) announced "with great regret" the resignation of Trish Thibodo as executive director.
