The Kiwanis Club of Delta is hosting its first annual Deltarado Days disc golf tournament Saturday, July 29. Open registration is from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Lions Pavilion. The tournament begins at 9:30.
Competition will take place on a brand new course at Confluence Park. The top-level course has been given high reviews by those who have played there.
Entry is open to players of all skill levels and costs $15 per person. Each registered player will receive a wrist band for $2 off the Kiwanis lunch barbecue. Prizes will be awarded. The Mod Squad will judge the tournament.
Kiwanis is searching for local businesses to sponsor the 18 holes at a cost of $25 per hole. Sponsor names will be posted on a disc pole and your name will be added to a sponsorship poster.
Funds raised from this tournament will help the Delta Kiwanis Club Foundation support the community with an annual signature project, multiple local service projects and high school Key Club members with college scholarships, leadership training and attendance at state and national conventions.
Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.
