Aug. 28:

Tyler S. Banks, 24, of Montrose was issued a summons for alleged shoplifting.

Scott C. Holden, 47, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged driving under the influence/drove while revoked.

Aug. 29:

Kenneth T. Stanley, 25, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $3,000 bond.

Kenneth T. Stanley, 25, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged possession of a controlled substance/possession of drug paraphernalia/violation of a criminal protection order.

Dustin A. Alt, 24, of Delta was issued a summons for alleged shoplifting.

Aug. 30:

Christie L. Waltman, 35, of Delta was issued a summons for alleged shoplifting.

Clarice R. Marvel, 94, of Delta was issued a summons for alleged disobeyed traffic control device.

Aug. 31:

Richard Gomez, 70, of Delta was issued a summons for alleged offense related to marijuana.

Sept. 1:

Rubin M. Armendariz, 41, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $5,000 bond.

Sept. 2:

Jeremy D. Gladney, 31, of Hotchkiss was arrested and jailed for violation of a criminal protection order.

Larry D. Denham, 56, of Delta was arrested and jailed for violation of a criminal protection order.

Shawn M. Ross, 20, of Cedaredge was issued a summons for alleged failed to yield at intersection.

Sept. 3:

Jose B. Suazo, 42, of Delta was issued a summons for trespass.

Tafare R. Davis, 43, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with no bond.

Citations: Six tickets were issued this week for various traffic violations.

Aug. 28:

Deputies, Crawford firefighters and North Fork Ambulance personnel responded to a single-car rollover at Black Canyon Road and Highway 92 south of Crawford. at about 7:20 p.m. The driver said a flat tire caused his vehicle to swerve onto the dirt shoulder. He overcorrected and the vehicle rolled once, landing on its wheels. The Colorado State Patrol handled the investigation.

A burglary was reported on 2000 Road, Delta. The occupants said they'd left the house locked, but discovered several items missing, including prescription medications, on their return. Entry may have been gained through a doggy door. There are no suspects.

Aug. 29:

At about 10:45 a.m., dispatch was advised of a vehicle chasing another down North Road in the area of Eckert Estates. As deputies were en route, one of the drivers went to the intersection of Highway 65 and 92 to meet them. He said the other vehicle was "on his bumper" and had passed on a double yellow line. He pursued the vehicle in an attempt to get a license plate number and vehicle description for deputies. That driver was located and given a verbal warning. Deputies determined an accusation that one of the parties had pointed a gun out the window was unfounded.

A complaint was received about several piles of brush burning in a field along Highway 65. Deputies determined the property owner was in full compliance with all regulations governing agricultural burns.

James Burnett, 34, of Eckert was charged with third degree assault as a result of domestic violence after an incident on Valley View Drive in Eckert.

Aug. 30:

The theft of an ATV, described as a 1991 Kawasaki Bayou 300, was reported from a home on Hamilton Road, Cedaredge. The ATV had been stored behind the house; the key was in it.

Two reports were received about mail missing from mailboxes on Peach Valley Road. Some mail was thrown on the road; other items may have been stolen.

Sept. 1:

A car went off the Cedar Mesa Grade and about 80 feet down an embankment at 1:20 a.m. The 2011 Audi suffered severe damage but the driver was not injured.

A fifth wheel camper caught fire at a home on Highway 92, Delta, shortly after 5 p.m. The fire spread to a barn. Firefighters from Delta and Cedaredge responded to the blaze. The owner of the camper had been working on the camper's refrigerator just before the fire broke out.

Sept. 2:

Jared Napier, 35, of Crawford was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after an accident on Highway 50. Napier was allegedly westbound near mile marker 62 when his passenger van went through the median and onto the opposite side of the highway. Napier was standing beside his vehicle when deputies arrived on the scene. He said he was unable to start his vehicle; they observed the driver's side airbag had deployed. The Colorado State Patrol handled the investigation.

Sept. 3:

A single car rollover was reported on Old Grand Mesa Road at about 7:40 p.m. No one was injured, and there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs.

Sept. 4:

Carey Brooks, 59, of Delta escaped serious injury when his vehicle rolled on Fairview Road one mile east of Trap Club. Brooks refused transport to the hospital. The Colorado State Patrol is handling the investigation; alcohol is a suspected factor.

At about 10:55 p.m., a rollover was reported on Highway 92, mile marker 32, near Crawford. The male driver, Milton Klatt, 62, of Crawford, was killed in the accident, despite efforts of motorists who stopped to perform CPR. Crawford firefighters, EMTs, Hotchkiss Marshal's Office and sheriff's deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol at the scene.
