Volunteers of America is offering a class Wednesday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., where participants will learn about important legal and financial issues to consider when planning for Alzheimer's or dementia.

Learn how to put a plan in place and how to access resources near you. Topics include: making legal plans that fit your need; legal documents you'll need and what they mean for you; how to find legal and financial assistance; practical strategies for making a long-term plan of care; tax deductions and credits; and government programs that can help you pay for care.
