Local artist Michelle Riley of Life of Riley Designs from Paonia will be exhibiting at the 56th annual Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival in Nappanee, Ind., Aug. 2-5.
Riley is a jewelry maker whose pieces are available locally at the Refinery in Paonia. Her designs are inspired by nature and her love of color.
Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival began as a clothesline art show in downtown Nappanee in 1962 and moved to Amish Acres in 1970. It is still produced by three generations of the Pletcher family.
Over 300 artists and artisans from across the nation converge on the grounds of this historic farm, homesteaded in 1839 by the first Amish pioneers in Indiana and now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. This nationally-recognized, juried arts and crafts event also features continuous live entertainment on four stages, children's activities, craft demonstrations, festival food, beer garden, and more.
