Delta resident Lillie Farrell died Sept. 25, 2018, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 92.
At her request, no services will be held.
Lillie Lee Peters was born Nov. 11, 1925, to Edward McLaughlin and Lillie (Brown) Peters in Oakland, Calif. She spent her childhood and attended school in Flagstaff, Ariz. She graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1942.
On Aug. 18, 1945, she married Robert Farrell in Flagstaff. They lived in Brawley, Calif., and were married for 56 years when he died in October 2001. After his death, Mrs. Farrell moved to Midland, Texas, to be close to her daughter. She lived in Midland for 16 years before moving to Delta in October 2017.
She was a member of Midland First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, poker, gambling in Las Vegas, jewelry, shopping, traveling, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Charlie Farrell and wife Jan Blue of Cedaredge; six grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild due in April.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Ronnie Farrell; and daughter, Norma Kelly.
