Littie B. Ward of Olathe died Nov. 3, 2017, at her home. She was 90.
Funeral services were held Nov. 7 at the Western Colorado Holiness Chapel in Delta with Pastor Tim Brubeck and Nathan Bryant officiating. Interment followed at Delta City Cemetery.
Littie B. Jeffries was born Feb. 9, 1927, to Hazel (Moore) and Jewel Jeffries in Oklahoma. When she was six, her family moved to Lamar where she spent her childhood and attended school. In 1949, her family moved to Littleton.
In June 1954, she married Glen Ward in Englewood.
Mrs. Ward moved from Littleton to Olathe in 1998. She was a member of the Western Colorado Holiness Chapel. She enjoyed singing and playing guitar in church and spending time with her church family. She also enjoyed going out for coffee and to eat, and being with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Dave) Rhodes of Olathe and Elizabeth (Ray) Merryman of Carrollton, Ga.; three brothers, Lorin (Cleta) Jeffries of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Don Jeffries and Jim (Linda) Jeffries, all of Littleton; one grandson, Davy (Katie) Rhodes; a granddaughter, Vanessa (John) Doyle; two great-grandchildren, Delainey and John Doyle; and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; a sister, Betty; and two brothers, Orin and Ken Jeffries.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
