North Fork Montessori @ Crawford grades 1-6 participated in Celebrate the Beat (CTB) three-week residency program. At the conclusion, kids performed for family and friends in the NFMC gym on Sept. 13. This year's theme was Mexico!

Celebrate The Beat (CTB) was founded in 2000, "using dance as the medium to teach children valuable life lessons: that energy, discipline, teamwork, commitment and trying your hardest can lead to success." Last year, CTB touched over 3,500 students in grades K-10 in communities throughout Colorado and Mexico.

Past performance themes in the North Fork schools have included The Lorax, teaching about the environment; rivers of the world; body systems; and impressionism to abstract art.

This school year elementary students from the North Fork Montessori at Crawford participated in CTB on Sept. 1-13. The program will be offered in Hotchkiss K-8 Oct. 15-26 and Paonia Elementary School Nov. 5-16.

Colorado Health Foundation, El Pomar Foundation, Caryn Gibson and Delta County School District made the programming possible.
