Paonia resident Jayson Park graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a bachelor of science in biology on Saturday, May 6, joining approximately 1,700 graduates at the spring commencement ceremonies.
Azusa Pacific University is an evangelical Christian university committed to God First and excellence in higher education. With 77 bachelor's degrees, 45 master's degrees, 18 certificates, 16 credentials, 8 doctoral programs, and 2 associate's degrees, the university offers its more than 10,300 students a quality education on campus, online, and at six regional centers throughout Southern California.
Thanks to the efforts of state Rep. Millie Hamner, House District 61, Colorado State University plans to re-open the Rogers Mesa research site.
The facility was taken out of operation in 2011, due to budget cuts throughout the CSU system.
