For the third year in a row, Cedaredge's historic Pioneer Town will host a summer reading series for children. The series invites kids of all ages to step back in time and listen to stories about Western heritage. Children attending are encouraged to wear period costumes. Admission is $1.
On Monday, July 9, at 11 a.m. the Pioneer Town schoolhouse will be the scene of readings from Little House on the Prairie. Free cookies and lemonade will be served.
On Tuesday, July 10, at 11 a.m. children will gather at the historic town's new tipi for cowboy and Indian stories. Free jerky and root beer will be served.
