Olathe FFA has been busy this year with many community service projects and competitions. In October, the floriculture team traveled to Indianapolis, Ind., as the Colorado representative for the National FFA Convention and to compete against 50 other teams from around the country.

Delta's Tractor Supply hosts fundraiser for FFA grant program

The Delta-area Tractor Supply Company store will collect donations during National FFA Week to support grants for FFA chapters in Colorado.

Gage Garcia and Annaly Ruiz of Delta are the parents of a daughter, Kailani Garcia, born Feb. 9, 2017, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 22 inches in length.

Hope and help for families of alcoholics

Al-Anon Family Groups meet throughout western Colorado to help families and friends of problem drinkers recover from the impacts of a loved one's drinking. Members help each other by practicing the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous themselves, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.
