Hubwheelers plan July 1, 15 dances

The square dancing will be hotter than a firecracker when the Delta Hubwheelers Square Dance Club hosts its Independence Day-theme dance, from 7-9 p.m., on Saturday night, July 1, in the aerobics room of the Bill Heddles Recreation Center, 531 N. Palmer Street in Delta. Dancers are encouraged to wear red, white and blue for America.

Grief support group meets weekly in Delta

Mending Hearts grief support group will be meeting on Wednesdays, June 7-Aug. 9, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at HopeWest, 205 Stafford Lane, Delta.

Mending Hearts is free of charge and open to anyone coping with the death of a loved one. Members may join at any time.

Deadline for brand assessment is June 30

Livestock brands are vital to protecting Colorado's livestock industry and are an important part of the state's history and culture.

The Colorado Department of Agriculture's Brand Inspection Division reminds brand owners that the brand assessment payment must be received in the Brand Office by 5 p.m. on June 30 to avoid payment of a $25 late fee.
