Women meet weekly to discuss what's 'Enough'

The Delta County Women's Connection is presenting "Conversations" every Saturday at 9 a.m. at Fairlamb Plaza at 3rd Street, a half block west of Main Street behind the Delta Area Chamber of Commerce office.

The current series, "Enough," has been created by Stonecroft Ministries to help women connect with others who are curious -- some skeptical -- about what Jesus and the Bible have to say concerning important areas in life.

National Day of Prayer to be observed May 4

The National Day of Prayer, established in 1952 by Congress and designated as the first Thursday of May, will be observed Thursday, May 4. The Delta County Courthouse steps will be the site of a local call to pray for our nation starting at noon. The courthouse is located at 501 Palmer in Delta.

Rodney Atkins to perform at Olathe Sweet Corn Festival

Country music performer Rodney Atkins has just been confirmed as the headlining musical act for the Olathe Sweet Corn Festival Aug. 5 in the Olathe Town Park. Now in its 26th year, the Olathe Sweet Corn Festival operates under the Montrose Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 that offers funds and resources to area non-profits.
