Marimba Project performance at Hotchkiss K-8 School

Fifth grade students of Hotchkiss K-8 School and others will give a residency performance with the Embodying Rhythm Marimba Project at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the K-8 School. The Marimba Project seeks to bring musical opportunities to kids and community members.

The Scones-Kinder Band will pay a musical tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love March 25 at The Creamery Arts Center in Hotchkiss. Mending Hearts grief support group will be meeting on Thursdays, March 16 - May 18, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Coal Train Coffee House at 328 W. Bridge Street in Hotchkiss.

Mending Hearts is free of charge and open to anyone coping with the death of a loved one.

Vendors sought for Delta food, wine festival

Vendors are now being accepted to showcase a signature dish, dessert, candy, wine, beer or other food-related item at the second annual Taste of Spring, Delta's premier food and wine festival. This fun event brings together local restaurants, cottage foods producers, wineries, breweries and others to showcase and market their items while raising funds to help middle and high school kids in Delta and Cedaredge.

Senior CommUnity meals are served at four dining sites in Delta County -- Cedaredge Community Center (Monday-Thursday), Delta Community Center (Monday-Friday), Hotchkiss Senior Center (Monday-Thursday) and Paonia Senior Citizen Center (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Meals on Wheels are also delivered from each location.
