Consider embarking on a new personal challenge this spring. No, not a 5k or other physical exercise -- but a workout for your brain! Toastmasters is the place to start your personal training.
The Black Canyon Voices, the local Toastmaster chapter, provides a painless and inexpensive "practice space" to overcome your fears, think on your feet and learn to express yourself in different ways -- persuasively, with humor, with vocal variety, using body language! Toastmasters will give you guidelines on organizing a speech, researching your topics, and will help you get comfortable using visual aids.
The Black Canyon Voices Toastmaster Chapter meets the first and third Thursday of each month at 12:15 at the Delta Library (lower level). Pencil in the next Toastmasters meeting this Thursday, April 20.
For more information, go to the local club website, http://blackcanyonvoices.toastmastersclubs.org/.

The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
