Due to the Village Building Convergence art projects planned for this weekend, town trustees approved two closures.
The 400 block of Fourth Street adjacent to Paonia Elementary School will be closed from 9 a.m. Friday, May 18, and will re-open 6 a.m. Sunday, May 20, to allow for preparation and painting of the street mural, and the alleyway between the 100 block of Grand and Main avenues will be closed from 5 p.m. Friday, May 18, to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 20 to allow for work on the Art Wall at Elsewhere Studios.
Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, VBC will kick off the weekend of community art projects with a block party and potluck in the alleyway adjacent to Elsewhere Studios off of Second Street. For details and a full schedule, visit northforkcreative.org.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
